My Favorite books on what we put into our body:
This is a must read for everyone on the planet. Learn the truth about what Western Healthcare is telling you:
Kelly Dorfman reveals the hidden connections between nutrition and how your child is doing. Filled with clear explanations and scientifically based remedies . . .
My favorite resources for preparation of food:
How to make veggies, that I used to think were disgusting, absolutely delicious. This book is a good resource for finding out the taste of each dark leafy green and how to prepare it.
Sanpaku in Chinese means “three whites.” A person is sanpaku when the white of the eye is visible under the pupil. That means there are three white sides of the eye showing rather than the two on the side of the eye. It is a sign that the person is vulnerable. (“Don’t shoot until you see the whites of their eyes!”) People can sense the vulnerability that shows in this way. It also means that the adrenals are exhausted. This book tells about the state of sanpaku and a way to eat that cures it. I have found that there are alternative ways of eating that also help this condition. But the book is really interesting.
This book contains deep, effective and miraculous stuff about food and the body and how to heal.
This book is an in-depth explanation with examples of the link between Autism and what we eat. It’s about a child but applies to all of us. I recommend it to anyone who is thinking of, or wants to understand, the gluten free/casein free (gf/cf) diet. Karen Seroussi shares dramatic changes in her son as a result of the diet. She also gives a step by step scientific explanation of the mechanisms behind the changes. This is the book I would start with if thinking about changing your child’s diet.
A very moving account of a mother’s journey with her son’s illness
More on Autism
Very informative and fascinating with a touch of humor in some of her experiences
This is a wonderful explanation of Autism, sensitive and highly informative giving a deeper understanding. I love this book.
Autism, Handle with Care!: Understanding and Managing Behavior of Children and Adults with Autism

About being in relationship with a person on the spectrum:
Best books on ADHD:
A favorite on ADHD. Linda Roggli is hysterically funny while imparting really valuable insights into the ADHD brain.

This is s follow up to Driven to Distraction. Both are basic, helpful and informative. Good starter books when becoming aware of your ADHD or that of someone you know.
This was the first one by Ned Hallowell, MD and John Ratey, MD. Each has an ADHD brain. They were in medical school, together, when they heard a short lecture on ADHD and related to it for themselves. They became the pioneers in the ADHD field. They no longer work together but their work together, I am sure, helped more people that one can count.
A later book by Hallowell based on what people were asking:
I use John Ratey’s Users Guide to the Brain more as a reference. It is packed with information and with hope.
Chinese Medicine Face Reading
I have read every book on the market on Chinese Medicine Face Reading and on General Face Reading. I began doing face reading intuitively and in a search for better regulating it, began studying it scientifically.
These are the most accurate.
The best book ever on Chinese Medicine Face reading is by Lillian Bridges.
There are some really good book and studies that explain the value of having a brain wiring that is depressed, anxious phobic, unusual.
A First Rate Madness gives biographical information, scientific studies and reveals patterns of how a dysfunctional leader does the best job during tough historic times and the so called “normal” one is not up to the task.
Then there is The Parnas. A fascination true story of a man who is paralyzed in many ways by his fears but his state of being saves many people during the nazi nightmare.
There are many books out there that give a lot of misinformation. I am listing only those that I recommend:
I like this more recent one even better. They are both great books and accurate.
This one is well done also but more difficult in that it does not have an index to look stuff up.

Best Books on Healing your self and others
Great for Sensory Integration Issues that so many on the spectrum are challenged with.
And more activities in this one for sensory integration:
This is better than Sherlock Holmes and you will learn so much about medicine and how to evaluate what is happening with a patient
My favorite book on sleep. The personality of Dr. Dement shines through his writing. Not only is he a sleep pioneer, but his kindness just oozes throughout the book and behind the lines. This book is so informative on everything about sleep.
